Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Pressure Test Operator to inspect, coil, cut, label, and pressure-test manufactured hose according to established production and quality specifications. This position requires strong attention to detail, basic math and measurement skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to continuously monitor equipment and product quality.

Key Responsibilities:
Inspect hose while coiling onto reels and cut hose as required.
Verify part numbers, hose sizes, job numbers, dimensions, tag colors, and reel diameters.
Inspect hoses for defects, including broken or missing wires, kinks, and other product flaws.
Identify and remove nonconforming sections and properly dispose of scrap.
Measure hose OD, ID, and pitch.
Complete inspection records, production documentation, and labeling.
Prepare burst and periodic samples as required.
Set up and operate pressure-testing equipment according to manufacturing specifications.
Configure test modes, jaws, mandrels, prefill, cycle time, and purge/dump pressure.
Record pressure-test results accurately.
Cut hose ends and properly wrap them with tape following testing.
Move tested hose to the appropriate quality inspection area.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow 5S/Lean Manufacturing practices.
Follow all safety and quality procedures.
Report equipment, production, or quality issues to the Direct Lead.
Work with Maintenance when equipment issues arise.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED.
Production/manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
Strong attention to detail and quality awareness.
Basic computer skills.
Good math, reading, and writing skills.
Ability to measure accurately and follow detailed manufacturing specifications.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to monitor machine sounds and recognize unusual operating conditions.
Ability to maintain continuous visual, mental, and auditory attention.
Must pass pre-employment screening.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to lift/carry materials up to 50 lbs.
Frequent use of hands and manual dexterity.
Ability to work around moving reels and manufacturing equipment.
Steel-toe shoes, eye protection, and hearing protection required.
Flexible schedule and availability for short-notice overtime.
