JobsRUs.com is seeking to hire a Forklift Operator for our client in Plainfield, IN! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! Pay Rate - $20.75/hr +$2/hr seasonal increase! 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:45p,-11:15pm. Must be able to work occasional overtime as needed. Job Description The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and accurately moving, loading, unloading, picking, and replenishing products within a distribution center. The role requires experience operating material handling equipment (MHE), using RF scanners, and working with warehouse management systems (WMS). Key Responsibilities * Pick and process customer orders by scanning barcodes, picking pallets, and labeling products. * Operate RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to process orders and inventory. * Safely load and unload inbound and outbound shipments. * Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment. * Locate and retrieve products and replenish picking locations. * Compare inventory counts with shipping and receiving documents and report discrepancies. * Follow all safety procedures, SOPs, and Good Documentation Practices (GDP). * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. * Complete required training and maintain current status in company training programs. * Follow attendance and workplace policies. * Perform other warehouse duties as assigned. Requirements * High School Diploma or GED preferred. * 1+ year of material handling equipment experience preferred. * Experience with at least one type of MHE; experience with multiple types is a plus: * Reach Truck * Counterbalance Forklift (Slip/Clamp) * Dock Stocker * Ability to obtain forklift certification. * Experience using RF scanners. * Ability to read and interpret warehouse/distribution documents. * Basic organizational, analytical, and prioritization skills. * General knowledge of warehouse/distribution operations. * Good verbal communication skills. * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. * Strong attention to safety and results. * Safety vest and safety shoes required. Physical Requirements * Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, twisting, pushing/pulling, and grasping. * Frequent use of hands and fingers for repetitive tasks. * Ability to lift **50+ lbs. in some areas**. * Ability to safely operate MHE in a warehouse/distribution environment. * Climbing may occasionally be required. * Must have adequate vision and hearing to safely perform the job; corrective vision is acceptable. Work Environment * Temperature-controlled warehouse. * Moderate to loud noise levels. * Regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment. * May occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. * Hazmat training may be provided depending on job responsibilities.
