JobsRUs.com is seeking to hire a Distribution Associate for our client in Plainfield, IN! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! Pay Rate - $19.50/hr +$2/hr seasonal increase! 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm. Must be able to work occasional overtime as needed. Job Description The Distribution Associate performs a variety of warehouse and material distribution activities to support the accurate and timely shipment of products. This role involves order picking, palletizing, RF scanning, packaging, and operating material handling equipment (MHE). Key Responsibilities Process customer orders by scanning barcodes, picking cases, and labeling boxes. Pick, scan, and palletize completed customer orders. Operate RF scanners and other warehouse technology to process orders accurately. Verify order accuracy and properly package products for shipment. Scan completed pallets and assist with dock manifest activities. Operate shrink-wrap equipment to prepare pallets for shipment. Assist with ground/manual manifest activities as needed. Learn and support other warehouse functions and positions. Provide backup coverage for team members during absences or vacations. Follow all warehouse safety, quality, and operational procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned. Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED preferred. 1+ year of warehouse, distribution, material handling, or related experience preferred. Previous experience operating material handling equipment (MHE) preferred. Required Skills & Qualifications Ability to obtain certification to operate an electric pallet jack. Experience using RF scanners or similar warehouse scanning technology. Ability to safely operate MHE. Ability to read and interpret shipping and distribution documents. Basic analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills. General knowledge of warehouse/distribution operations. Strong attention to accuracy and detail. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and provide backup support when needed. Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, twisting, pushing/pulling, and grasping. Frequent use of hands and fingers for picking, handling, scanning, and other repetitive tasks. Ability to lift 50+ lbs. in some areas. Occasional climbing may be required. Must have sufficient vision and hearing to safely operate MHE in a manufacturing/distribution environment. Reasonable accommodations may be available in accordance with applicable laws. Work Environment Warehouse/distribution environment with moderate to loud noise levels. Regular work around moving mechanical equipment. May be exposed to varying temperatures. Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles. Requires adherence to all applicable safety procedures and PPE requirements. BD04123JD | |
