Position Summary We are seeking a Counter Sales Representative / Warehouse Associate to support customers at a retail parts and supply location. This is a hybrid customer service, sales, and warehouse position. The Counter Sales Representative will assist walk-in customers and contractors, process orders and sales, answer questions, and help customers find the products they need. The role also includes hands-on warehouse responsibilities such as picking orders, receiving inventory, stocking shelves, and loading/unloading trucks. Important: This is not a traditional office or business-professional position. Candidates should be comfortable working in a warehouse environment and transitioning between counter and warehouse duties throughout the day. Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Counter Sales Greet customers and contractors in a friendly and professional manner. Assist customers with identifying products and solutions that meet their needs. Process orders, quotes, returns, and sales transactions accurately. Build strong relationships with customers through excellent service. Answer incoming phone calls and respond to customer questions. Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally. Learn product information and provide knowledgeable assistance. Support branch sales goals through customer engagement and product knowledge. Warehouse Operations Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for pickup or delivery. Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently. Receive incoming inventory and verify shipments for accuracy. Stock shelves and maintain organized warehouse storage areas. Assist with cycle counts and inventory management. Ensure customer orders are accurate and completed on time. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Required Qualifications 6 months?1 year of basic computer experience. Strong customer service and communication skills. Willingness and ability to learn new products and internal systems. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills. Dependable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Comfortable working in both a customer-facing counter environment and warehouse setting. Preferred Experience Experience in any of the following is a plus: Hardware or home improvement retail Counter sales Wholesale distribution Plumbing supply HVAC supply Electrical supply Construction Warehouse operations Retail customer service Parts sales Forklift experience is a plus, but training may be provided. | |
