Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a PTFE Blending Operator to prepare and blend raw materials according to established manufacturing specifications. This position is responsible for accurately mixing PTFE and Isopar, documenting production information, preparing materials for extrusion, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Previous production experience is preferred but not required. The company provides approximately 1?8 weeks of on-the-job training, with training potentially extending to 10 weeks based on individual needs.

Key Responsibilities
Stage raw materials for blending operations using FIFO procedures.
Blend PTFE and Isopar according to specified manufacturing instructions.
Pour PTFE blends through screens into jugs and accurately weigh completed blends.
Enter blend information into the WW3 system and properly label/tag containers.
Remove excess blend from containers as required.
Transfer completed jugs to the hot room and stage materials for extrusion.
Transfer empty jugs to designated cleaning areas.
Clean and wash jugs on a rotating schedule.
Change Isopar filters when necessary.
Unload PTFE materials from delivery trucks and move them to the cold room.
Monitor production processes and report issues to the Direct Lead.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while following 5S practices.
Follow all safety, quality, environmental, and manufacturing procedures.
Work efficiently to minimize product and material waste.
Participate in Lean Manufacturing and team-based improvement initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Value Stream Team Lead.
Qualifications

Required:

High school diploma or GED.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to maintain continuous mental, visual, and auditory attention.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Positive attitude and dependable work ethic.

Preferred:

Previous production or manufacturing experience.
Experience working with raw materials, blending, batching, or industrial processes.
Physical Requirements

The position requires the ability to:

Stand and walk for extended periods.
Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
Bend, twist, turn, reach below the knee, push, pull, squat, and kneel regularly.
Occasionally lift materials above shoulder level.
Perform work requiring manual dexterity and attention to detail.
Remain alert to equipment sounds and changes in the production process.
Work Environment

Employees may be exposed to:

High noise levels from manufacturing equipment.
Moving machinery and reels.
Extreme temperatures in the Cold Room.
Industrial manufacturing conditions.

Required PPE includes steel-toe shoes, eye protection, and hearing protection.

Employees must be flexible and available to work mandatory overtime and short-notice overtime when required.
