Job Description
We are looking for a Product Development Technician to join our team in Brea, CA. This role supports engineers and the product development team by performing laboratory testing, maintaining equipment, preparing test samples, documenting results, and helping develop prototypes and test setups.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a laboratory or technical environment, following written procedures, handling test materials and chemicals, and working as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
Collect, organize, and maintain technical and laboratory data, including test results and engineering changes.
Prepare technical reports, summaries, drawings, flowcharts, block diagrams, and schematics.
Perform routine technical tasks and help solve routine technical problems.
Provide hands-on technical support to engineers and project teams.
Help select, set up, and qualify laboratory and testing equipment.
Perform routine laboratory activities, including:
Equipment calibration
Routine equipment maintenance
Following safety procedures
General lab organization and support
Help develop prototype processes and laboratory test setups.
Perform testing according to established test procedures and protocols.
Record, analyze, and communicate test results accurately.
Prepare samples and handle chemicals used for testing and conditioning.
Report any issues or conditions that could affect a project to the manager or team lead.
Work closely with engineers, technicians, and other team members.
May train or provide guidance to lower-level technicians.

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
4?6 years of laboratory, technician, or regulated-environment experience, OR equivalent experience in a corporate or academic laboratory.
Experience following written procedures and established test methods.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as engineering, chemistry, biology, materials science, or a related discipline.
1?2 years of laboratory, R&D, or product development experience.
Experience performing laboratory or product testing.
Experience working with laboratory/test equipment and calibration.
Experience documenting and analyzing test results.
Experience working in a regulated environment.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve routine technical problems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Ability to train or mentor junior technicians.
