We are seeking an experienced Field Technician to provide hands-on break/fix support for laptops, desktops, and related peripherals throughout the metro and surrounding areas. The technician will be responsible for responding to service requests, diagnosing hardware issues, completing repairs, and accurately documenting and closing service tickets in real time. This role is ideal for a hands-on IT professional with at least 1 year of laptop and desktop break/fix experience, strong knowledge of computer hardware, and the ability to work independently in a field-based environment. Key Responsibilities- Respond to assigned service requests throughout the metro and surrounding areas. Diagnose and repair laptops, desktops, and computer peripherals. Replace hardware components including hard drives, motherboards, keyboards, and other parts. Perform whole-unit equipment swaps when required. Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware and software issues. Use company-provided equipment to update and close service tickets in real time through the Call Management system. Provide professional customer service while completing onsite repairs. Complete required technical and product training. Required Qualifications 1+ year of hands-on laptop and desktop break/fix experience. General knowledge of laptop and desktop hardware and software. Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic/non-complex technical issues. Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage assigned service requests. Must have a reliable personal vehicle and valid car insurance. Willingness to travel throughout the metro and surrounding service areas. Ability to pass required background and drug screening. Ability to obtain client and/or government clearance, if required. Preferred Qualifications- Computer building or PC assembly experience. Additional hands-on hardware repair experience. Previous field service or onsite technical support experience. | |
