Position Overview-
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Assembler to join our manufacturing team on a 3-month assignment. The Assembler will perform product assembly using individual components and sub-assemblies while following documented work instructions, quality standards, and established safety procedures.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to read assembly instructions and wiring diagrams, and experience using hand tools and basic soldering techniques. Previous manufacturing or assembly experience is preferred.

Please note: This position requires standing and walking for the entire shift.

Key Responsibilities
Read, understand, and follow documented assembly instructions, policies, and procedures.
Assemble components, parts, and subassemblies accurately and efficiently according to approved specifications.
Perform board-level assembly using solder pots and point-to-point soldering techniques.
Select, handle, position, and install components using specified tools, machinery, and assembly methods.
Use handheld tools, including screwdrivers, and operate manufacturing equipment as required.
Communicate effectively with other assembly stations to maintain production speed, quality, and accuracy.
Identify and report non-conformances, production issues, or barriers to management and recommend potential solutions.
Perform visual inspections to verify product quality and workmanship.
Follow all quality and safety procedures, including proper use of required PPE.
Participate in ergonomic stretching and other workplace safety practices.
Consistently follow Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Flex to additional responsibilities and work assignments as business needs require.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Ability to read and comprehend assembly instructions and wiring diagrams.
Basic experience with point-to-point soldering.
Ability to use handheld tools and operate machinery.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer literacy.
Ability to distinguish between colors for visual inspection and assembly requirements.
Ability to continuously stand and walk throughout the workday.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous manufacturing or assembly experience.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word.
Experience working with solder pots or wave solder equipment.
Previous experience in Lean Manufacturing/5S environments.
Physical Requirements
Standing and walking continuously throughout the shift.
Ability to lift up to 26 pounds without lift assistance.
Ability to manipulate and grip small objects with one or both hands.
Frequent reaching, bending, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to perform detailed visual inspections.
Ability to work safely and effectively in a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment & Dress Code
Safety-toe shoes are required.
No shorts permitted.
Required PPE must be worn as directed.
Holiday weeks may follow an 8-hour workday schedule, with the facility closed on designated holidays.

This is a 10-hour, 4-day workweek. During holiday weeks, employees will work 8-hour days and will be off on designated holidays.
