Description

Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk I to support manufacturing operations. This position performs a variety of basic assembly, testing, inspection, and material-handling functions while following established procedures and maintaining quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have basic mechanical experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
Perform basic assembly and testing functions using hand tools, power tools, mechanical and electronic equipment, test equipment, assembly fixtures, and inspection instruments.
Record test results accurately on required data forms using basic electrical equipment and flow meters.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications, service bulletins, customer requirements, and quality directives.
Assemble and inspect products to ensure they meet established specifications and customer or industry standards.
Follow established procedures and select appropriate tools, equipment, techniques, and processes to complete assigned work.
Participate in Lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvement and providing suggestions.
Maintain a clean, organized, and Foreign Object Damage (FOD)-free work area.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and manufacturing requirements.
Ensure equipment is properly calibrated according to established calibration schedules.
Apply product and process knowledge when learning and performing new techniques.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education Qualifications-
High school diploma or GED required.
At least 1 year of general mechanical work experience preferred.
Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
Ability to read and understand basic technical documentation and instructions.
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record information.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and contribute effectively within a team environment.
Ability to learn and apply new procedures, techniques, tools, and equipment.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, as required.
