Job Description
We are seeking a Production Assistant ? Derivatives to support day-to-day production operations at a chemical manufacturing facility in Belvidere, NJ. This position is responsible for operating blending, packaging, milling, and storage equipment, as well as safely handling and moving raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.

The ideal candidate has some forklift experience, preferably in a chemical manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment, and understands GMP requirements. This is a hands-on production role requiring strong attention to safety, accurate documentation, and the ability to work a rotating schedule.

Key Responsibilities
Operate blending, milling, packaging, and storage tank equipment.
Safely move raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods throughout the facility.
Load and unload trucks and properly receive, store, and distribute raw materials.
Subdivide and deliver batch ingredients according to production requirements and established procedures.
Package materials and finished products in drums, bags, boxes, and other containers.
Follow GMP, ISO, IHQ-7, SOP, and quality requirements for handling, packaging, and storage.
Complete required production and packaging documentation, including batch records, logbooks, cleaning records, withdrawal sheets, and inventory records.
Maintain accurate material identification, inventory, and accountability records.
Monitor equipment and report malfunctions, delays, quality issues, and process deviations to the Shift Team Lead.
Perform routine equipment inspections, cleaning, troubleshooting, and minor maintenance as required.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Participate in inventory activities and notify supervisors when materials need to be reordered.
Attend required shift meetings, safety meetings, and training.
Follow all company Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) requirements and Life Saving Rules.
Report quality deviations, unsafe conditions, and non-conformances immediately.
Support continuous improvement and plant production initiatives.
Work independently while prioritizing tasks to meet production schedules.
Perform other production and material-handling duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid, unrestricted driver's license.
Some forklift experience required.
Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment.
Ability to read, write, perform basic math, and maintain accurate records.
Ability to follow SOPs, GMP requirements, safety procedures, and written instructions.
Strong attention to detail and housekeeping skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and perform physically demanding tasks.
Preferred Experience
Chemical manufacturing experience.
Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
GMP experience or knowledge.
Forklift/material-handling experience.
Experience with blending, packaging, batching, or production equipment.
Experience working with hazardous materials.
Physical & Safety Requirements
Ability to perform physical material-handling duties.
Must be able to wear required PPE and safety equipment.
Respirator fit testing is required.
Must be clean shaven to meet respirator requirements.
Must be able to work around chemicals and hazardous materials while following applicable safety procedures.
Must be able to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Driving is required onsite and to/from work, so a valid driver's license is mandatory.
Schedule Requirements

This position follows a DuPont 28-day rotating schedule. Candidates must be available to work:

Rotating shifts
Weekends
Holidays
Overtime
Additional hours for call-in or absence coverage

Overtime requirements may change based on production and business needs.
