Position Type: Temporary-to-Hire Contract Duration: 12 Months Pay Rate: $19.00?$21.00 per hour Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to support daily warehouse, inventory, shipping, and receiving operations. This position will be responsible for accurately processing incoming and outgoing materials, maintaining inventory records, completing documentation, and ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have previous inventory management or inventory control experience, strong organizational skills, proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. This position is temporary-to-hire, providing an opportunity for long-term employment based on performance and business needs. Key Responsibilities Receive, inspect, verify, and process incoming materials and shipments. Prepare and process outgoing shipments in accordance with established procedures. Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory control activities. Review shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation for accuracy and completeness. Enter and maintain shipment and inventory information using computer systems and applicable software. Utilize Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word to maintain records, reports, and documentation. Assist with organizing and maintaining warehouse and storage areas. Safely move, stage, and handle materials throughout the facility. Coordinate with internal teams and shipping/receiving personnel to ensure timely movement of materials. Follow established safety procedures, company policies, and material-handling practices. Prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Work independently when required while contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment. Work overtime as needed to support business and operational requirements. Required Qualifications- Previous experience in inventory management, inventory control, shipping, receiving, or a related warehouse environment. Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions in English. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to follow established safety procedures and operating instructions. Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Willingness and ability to work overtime as needed. Preferred Qualifications Forklift certification or previous forklift experience. Previous warehouse operations experience. Experience with SAP or other ERP/inventory management systems. Experience with international shipping and export documentation. Background in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or related operations.
