Pay Rate - $27-35/hr 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 1:30pm-10pm Job Description We are seeking a Product Development Laboratory Technician for our Brea, CA facility. This position supports engineers and the product development team by performing laboratory testing, maintaining technical data, supporting prototype development, and documenting test results. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working in a laboratory or regulated technical environment, can follow written procedures, and is comfortable working collaboratively with engineers and other technical professionals. What You'll Do Laboratory & Testing * Perform laboratory and material testing according to established procedures. * Execute test protocols and document results accurately. * Handle test samples and chemicals used for conditioning and testing. * Help develop prototype processes and test setups. * Support equipment selection, setup, and qualification. * Perform routine equipment maintenance and calibration. Technical Support * Provide technical support to engineers and project teams. * Gather, organize, format, and maintain technical data. * Analyze laboratory and material test results. * Prepare technical reports, summaries, drawings, flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics. * Identify and communicate issues that could affect projects. Documentation & Communication * Clearly document and communicate test results and findings. * Prepare reports and summaries, including quantitative analysis. * Follow written procedures and established safety requirements. * Communicate project updates and concerns to supervisors and team leads. Team Support * Work collaboratively with engineers, technicians, and other team members. * Support general laboratory operations. * Help maintain a safe, organized, and properly functioning laboratory. * Train or provide guidance to lower-level technicians as needed. Required Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent. * 4?6 years of laboratory or technician experience, preferably in a corporate, school, or regulated technical environment. * Experience following written procedures and test protocols. * Ability to work effectively as part of a technical team. * Comfortable using personal computers and standard software. * Ability to perform routine technical tasks and troubleshoot routine technical problems. Preferred Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in a technical field. * 1?2 years of laboratory or R&D experience. * Experience performing laboratory or product testing. * Experience working with engineering or product development teams. * Experience training or mentoring junior technicians.
