Weekly Pay! $20.75//Hour Shift Details : 3rd Shift Start Time : 11:30PM End Time : 7:30AM Working days : Monday-Friday JOB DESCRIPTION: Summary of Position: Operates convoluter and ensures quality product. Essential Functions: Install guide tube, die and lip seal per manufacturing specification Check equipment set up to ensure capability (guards, oven exhaust blowers, air pressure, oven temperature, etc) Verify water pressure on gauge inside chiller pump, check compression and enable water supply Install materials on creel or into the rotating tube, set up vaccum, puller and die speed Monitor tube through oven, vaccum tank, puller and counter Check rotation speed, ID, OD, convolution per inch and wall thickness and record on SPC chart, cut tube as needed Perform conductivity testing, straightening and rework as needed Maintain work area in clean and orderly fashion, follow 5s practices Know and practice all safety regulations and quality guidelines Report production issues to Direct Lead Perform work of an equal or lower classification Department Specific or Non-Essential Functions: Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures, and in a manner that eliminates unreasonable risk to health and the environment. Notify management of unsafe conditions or practices, unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and or environmental incidents to management immediately. Prevent excess waste of product and or components by operating the equipment in an efficient manner. Participate in peer-based teams (i.e., Natural High Performance Teams), and work with groups to initiate and implement programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S. Other duties may be assigned at a later time Minimum Requirements Education required: High School diploma or GED Experience: Production work preferred but not required. Preferred Skills or Qualifications: Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Sound decision making skills. Good math, reading, writing skills. Be able to exercise continuous mental, visual, and audio attention. Ability to work well in a team environment. Basic understanding of lean fundamentals preferred Skills or Competencies: Basic computer skills. Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take appropriate action. Vision: Near acuity and accommodation for reading information to perform job tasks. Requires constant alertness to surroundings and product quality with attention to detail. Must be able to read work orders and interpret manufacturing specifications, Must be able to use and interpret measuring instruments (i.e. calipers, micrometers, pi tape, etc.) Other Skills: Ability to work well in a team environment Has promotes a positive attitude Assessment: Employee must pass Pre-employment screening Organizational Relationships or Scope: Report directly to Value Stream Team Leader Work closely with Maintenance to resolve issues with the equipment Working Conditions: The employee may be subject to: High noise levels from operating machines and equipment. Physical hazards from operating machines and moving reels. Work in areas where safety equipment will be required (steel toe shoes, eye protection, hearing protection) Standing is required for extended periods of time. Walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, turning, twisting, squatting, and lifting is performed on a regular basis Requires high degree of manual dexterity, which could be performed under restrictive conditions Requires flexible hours and short notice for overtime. | |
