Do you have a knack for working with forklifts, reach trucks, and order picking equipment? JobsRUs.com is seeking enthusiastic, experienced individuals to join our team in Portage, IN. Main Job duties: Safely operates specialized narrow-aisle, stand-up lifting equipment and forklifts to store, retrieve, and stack palletized inventory in high-bay warehouse racks. Load and unload shipments, and perform routine daily safety checks on their machinery. Responsibilities: ? Safely drive forklifts and stand-up reach trucks in narrow aisles to lift, place, and retrieve goods at high elevations. ? Use RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to log product movements and verify quantities. ? Load, unload, and move palletized materials between the loading dock and storage racks. ? Conduct daily pre-shift equipment checks on brakes, forks, hydraulics, and battery levels. Requirements & Qualifications: ? Valid OSHA-compliant forklift operator certification and the ability to pass an on-site evaluation. ? At least 1 to 2 years of verifiable experience operating forklifts and stand-up reach trucks in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution center. ? Ability to stand for long shifts, climb on and off equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds. ? Strong spatial awareness, hand-eye coordination, depth perception, and basic computer/scanner literacy.
