CorTech dba JobsRUs is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Catering Cook position in Canton, NY. Position Details: - Pay Rate: $20.28- $28.51 -This is a 9-month seasonal role offering a flexible schedule during the academic year?. Key Responsibilities: -Prepare and test recipes for catered events and all Dining Service units, making thoughtful adjustments to ensure flavor, presentation, and consistency. -Develop new recipes that align with Dining Service standards and seasonal menus. -Estimate food quantities and supplies needed for menus to ensure efficiency and minimize waste. -Serve as a short-order cook and assist with nightly service and special events. -Store and utilize excess food in compliance with New York State Health Department Food Service Health Code. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment, including equipment, storerooms, and prep areas. -Complete required forms, reports, and inventory documentation. - Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent. - Three years of experience in upscale restaurant food preparation and presentation preferred; successful completion of a fine dining externship or internship will be considered in place of experience. - Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently under pressure. - Proficiency in operating standard cooking machinery and adjusting recipes as needed. - A passion for culinary creativity and a commitment to excellence.
