Pay Rate 1st Shift: $18.00/hour 2nd Shift: $18.45/hour (includes shift differential) Shift Options 1st Shift: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM 2nd Shift: Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM Training & Onboarding New hires are required to attend onboarding during their first week: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Candidates hired for 2nd Shift must be available to train on 1st Shift: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM Approximately 6 weeks of training before transitioning to 2nd Shift Additional Information Safety shoes required Interviews conducted in person Potential temp-to-hire opportunity Benefits Weekly Pay - Paid every Friday Supplemental Health Insurance - Available on Day One Health, Dental, Vision Insurance after 90 days Position Summary The Machine Operator 2 is responsible for the setup, operation, adjustment, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance of moderately complex automated manufacturing equipment. This role ensures product quality through inspections, documentation, and adherence to established manufacturing and safety standards. Responsibilities and Duties Set up and operate a variety of production equipment, including automated manufacturing processes and controls. Perform routine assembly-line functions such as filling, packing, assembling, labeling, and inspecting products. Troubleshoot machine and production issues using independent judgment under general supervision. Perform preventative maintenance and identify the need for minor equipment repairs. Conduct quality inspections using gauges, jigs, fixtures, and testing procedures. Monitor product quality in accordance with statistical process controls and quality standards. Assist with root-cause analysis for process and product exceptions. Complete and maintain accurate quality, safety, and maintenance documentation. Perform cleanup functions and maintain work areas, including sterilized environments as needed. Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety procedures, and housekeeping standards. Work overtime as required to meet business needs. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Education & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of manufacturing experience; experience in a regulated environment preferred. OR Associate's Degree in a technical field with no prior manufacturing experience required. Required Skills Strong attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Excellent communication skills. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to recognize deviations from specifications and follow approved process documentation. Ability to work independently within established procedures. Proficiency in English, including reading, writing, basic arithmetic, and interpreting charts and diagrams. Basic computer skills and familiarity with Windows-based systems. Additional Requirements Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours as needed. Ability to rotate among different tasks and responsibilities. Ability to maintain regular, reliable attendance.
