Weekly Pay! $55.00/Hour Shift Details : 1st Shift Start Time : 08:00AM End Time : 05:00PM JOB DESCRIPTION: Position Description: Implements the agreed commodity and SQM strategy (including value, digitalization and collaboration) Drives supplier performance and continuous improvement and collaborates in supplier development programs. Creates and negotiates General Quality and Quality Assurance agreements and monitors supplier contract coverage rate. Applies preventive quality methods aimed at risk minimization. Designs, maintains and improves specific quality requirements, specifications and concepts based on supplier and product or service risk assessment. Supports standardized supplier qualification process according corporate guidelines (ready for business). Coordinates product or service qualifications and approvals based on specific requirements or specification (ready to order). Actively involved in projects to support or review specifications and requirements. Implements complaints managements to detect and analyze non-conformances, verifies root cause analysis and communicates with supplier. Supports sustainable problem solving. Plans and executes supplier audits including follow-up of audit measures. Continuously improves internal SQM processes (innovation, digitalization, LEAN) Fosters (virtual) interaction with suppliers. Impacts: Needs to consider processes and results, generated in other workflows and disciplines, implies conditions and environments, and values significance to contribute effectively to team results. Needs experienced level of analytical and distinctive conceptual skills to solve issues given, which may differ in size and nature. Application of knowledge in broader professional context Special Requirements for this Supplier Quality Manufacturing Engineer role: Technical knowledge and experience in complex manufacturing space, especially welding and complex machining Strong project management skills Ability to travel 20-50% to supplier in Connecticut, as needed Abililty to present to high level leadership in the organization Self-directed and self-motivated employee, requiring minimal oversight About the role: A Snapshot of Your Day As a Supplier Quality Manufacturing Engineer, your day will be filled with engaging interactions with suppliers, analyzing data, and driving continuous improvement. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality standards are met, while fostering strong relationships with our valued suppliers. How You'll Make an Impact: Lead Product Qualification Activities at Suppliers ? Product and Process Qualifications (PPQs) Contain, manage and resolve Quality issues relating to supplier non-conforming components identified at Aero-Derivative Gas Turbine (AGT) Client assembly facilities, warehouses or customers globally. Manage suppliers to properly handle non-conformance issues. Assist with process improvements. Lead supplier root cause investigations and corrective actions through Problem Resolution process. Investigate and resolve manufacturing capability issues within the supply chain to ensure business continuity. Identify and support cost reduction opportunities through interaction with the Supply Chain or Strategic Business Audit existing and potential suppliers to determine capability of manufacturing and ensure quality systems are in place. Develop supplier capability to meet current and future requirements Interact with customer-facing businesses to investigate potential product non-conformances Product manufacturing development and improvement via regular in person presence at supplier sites What You Bring: Required: Technical training or further education in quality, mechanical, or electrical engineering Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g. ISO9001), Supplier Quality Management (SQM) and Quality Control routines. Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes Knowledge of drawing interpretation (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) Demonstrated ability to work with design engineering organization to ensure parts are manufacturable. Proven ability to manage multi-problem investigations simultaneously. Self-motivated attitude and ownership of projects Ability to project manage Product and Process Qualifications and unexpected Supplier Quality Issues from beginning to end. Knowledge of inspection methodologies and assessment of inspection capability. Experience working with or at manufacturing facilities Experience working with critical parts. (Complex parts such as disc, shaft, complex assemblies) Preferred: Proven track record of application of Quality improvement processes and tools (e.g. 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa) SAP experience.
