JobsRUs.com is seeking to hire a Machine Operator for our client in Falconer, NY! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! Pay Rate - $17.75/hr 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 5am-1:30pm Job Description Operate and maintain automation equipment as well as assist with general production requirements. 1. Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair automated production equipment including, but not limited to, machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulics. 2. Follow blueprints, specifications, diagrams, and service manuals to repair and maintain equipment. 3. Develop and maintain PM programs. 4. Develop and maintain inventory controls for repair parts and tool inventories. 5. Support existing and future projects during installations, start-up, and long-term operation. 6. Assist in daily/weekly training warehouse personnel. 7. Assist with special machinery and expansion projects as directed by management. 8. Continuously seeking to improve upon existing methods of operation, by research and development to improve our safety, quality, and cost performance. 9. Proactively investigate needs, evaluate issues, and present/recommend alternatives to decrease overall facility operational downtime thus increasing overall operational effectiveness. 10. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as identified by ORBIS corporate. 11. Other duties as assigned. Key performance measures: 1. Safety performance 2. Quality performance Required education: High school diploma / GED. Desired education: Associate's degree in Industrial/manufacturing ? mechanical & electrical, electronic preferred. Required work experience: 3-5 years of experience in general maintenance machine operations, forklifts, and general facility maintenance. Desired work experience: 3-5 years? experience working with steam generators or equivalent preferred. Additional knowledge, skills and abilities: 1. Safety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner. 2. Ability to STOP-THINK-ACT and work safely. 3. Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business. 4. Ability to work on a rotating shift. 5. Ability to work rotating job stations. 6. Ability to effectively work in teams. 7. Ability to professionally accept constructive feedback and criticism. 8. Ability to work in a warehouse-based environment with moving equipment and people. 9. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles. 10. Proven planning and organizational skills with the ability to handle high volume mechanical requirements. 11. Demonstrated successes in handling multiple high priority projects, in addition to normal responsibilities. 12. Willing to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays with on-call availability as needed. 13. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 14. Excellent computer skills-Word and Excel proficiency. 15. Knowledge of OSHA and Lockout-Tagout procedures and regulations. 16. Knowledge of air compressors. 17. Ability to work safely with 3 phase 480-volt power systems. 18. Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems and troubleshooting. 19. Previous Forklift Certification preferred. 20. Ability to quickly interpret, analyze, and report issues with machines/facility components. Ability/willingness to travel to other Service Centers to assist with troubleshooting or installation of new equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and use foot/feet to operate machine. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. Must have manual dexterity sufficient to operate a wide variety of small hand tools, scales, spatula, barrel cart, hand trucks, forklift, utility knife, and mixer/blender machinery and computer equipment. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. Vision / hearing requirements: Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and use foot/feet to operate machine. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance.
