Job Title: Supply Chain Intern Location: Sumter, SC Pay Rate: $19.00 ? $23.00 per hour Job Type: Internship Job Summary JobsRUs.com is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Intern for a great opportunity within a Supply Chain organization. The Procurement Intern will support daily purchasing operations, supplier coordination, reporting, and data analysis activities. This role will help improve procurement visibility, operational efficiency, and data accuracy through structured reporting, follow-ups, and process improvement initiatives. The selected candidate will gain exposure to procurement systems, supplier management, and cross-functional collaboration while supporting key business priorities related to delivery, cost, and service performance. Key Responsibilities Support purchase order management activities, including tracking open orders, confirmations, and delivery updates. Follow up with suppliers regarding past-due orders and critical shortages to help ensure continuity of supply. Maintain and update procurement trackers, including open PO reports, shortage lists, and supplier follow-up logs. Assist in preparing weekly and monthly procurement reports, including on-time delivery performance, lead time tracking, past-due orders, and risk analysis. Perform data validation and cleansing for supplier and material master data, including lead times, pricing, and minimum order quantities. Support inventory and material flow analysis by reviewing stock levels, shortages, and excess inventory trends. Assist with cross-functional coordination between Planning, Warehouse, Quality, and Finance teams to help resolve supply and invoice issues. Contribute to process improvement initiatives such as converting manual processes into digital tools, standardizing reporting templates, and documenting basic procurement procedures. Support supplier performance tracking and reporting for internal reviews. Provide general administrative and analytical support to the Procurement team as needed. Minimum Education Currently pursuing a Bachelor?s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum Experience No prior experience required. Internship, school projects, or experience related to supply chain, procurement, or data analysis is a plus. Required Skills Basic understanding of supply chain and procurement concepts. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with formulas and data analysis preferred. Good written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and data accuracy. Ability to manage multiple tasks in an organized and structured manner. Basic knowledge of ERP systems, especially SAP, is a plus. Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate across departments. Proactive mindset and willingness to learn. Continuous improvement mindset.
