We are looking for an experienced Instrument Test Technician II to support calibration, maintenance, and repair of laboratory equipment in a fast-paced, technical environment.

Job Details
Location: San Diego, CA (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday through Friday (typically 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, flexible)
Pay Rate: $30 to $33/hour
Weekly Hours: 40 (overtime may be required)
Assignment Length: Contract (extension possible)

What You Will Do:
Perform calibration, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of lab equipment
Execute and document validation activities
Read and interpret technical manuals, SOPs, and schematics
Maintain equipment records and run reports in system databases
Support equipment inventory, refurbishment, and tracking
Assist end users with calibration processes and best practices
Independently manage tasks while working within a team environment

What We Are Looking For:
Required:
High school diploma or GED
5 to 7 years of experience with laboratory or hospital equipment
Hands on experience with calibration and instrumentation
Knowledge of ISO standards (9001, 13485, 17025, or similar)
Experience with systems like SAP, Excel, Access, or calibration software
Ability to read schematics and use electronic test equipment
Current, valid, unrestricted California Driver's License and clean driving record.
Preferred:
Associates or Bachelors degree (technical field)
Certification in instrumentation or calibration
Experience with refrigeration equipment calibration

Key Skills
Strong troubleshooting and repair skills (component-level preferred)
Solid understanding of calibration principles and terminology
Technical writing and documentation accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Customer-service mindset when working with internal teams

Physical Requirements
Standing/walking for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
Lifting and moving lab equipment regularly
Frequent use of hands/tools and working with electrical equipment
Occasional work in confined spaces
