Shipping Receiving Clerk-Job Description 2nd Shift Monday through Friday 2:30pm to 11:00pm Hourly Pay: $21.00 an Hour Interviewed Position Job Title Shipping/Receiving Clerk ? Distribution Center Core Responsibilities ? Shipment/Receiving Processing: examine incoming/outgoing shipments to verify the quality and quantity of goods against purchase orders ? Discrepancy Management: Identify, document, and report any damaged, missing, or incorrect items to vendors and management. ? Inventory Verification: Accurately log received items into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) ? Vendor Coordination: Communicate with freight carriers, truck drivers, and suppliers to schedule deliveries and ensure smooth dock operations. ? Documentation: Review shipping manifests, packing slips, and bills of lading. File and maintain accurate receiving records for auditing purposes. ? Facility Upkeep: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working area, complying with OSHA warehouse safety standards. ? [Qualifications & Skills ? Experience: 1?2 years of experience in warehousing, inventory control, or shipping and receiving. ? Technical Skills: Proficiency with Emailing, Printing of Bill of Lading, inventory software, and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel). ? Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, walk frequently, and regularly lift or move heavy packages (often up to 50 lbs.). ? Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and accuracy to match serial numbers, part codes, and quantities. ? Communication: Clear verbal and written communication for resolving shipping errors and directing drivers. Typical Work Environment This role operates in a fast-paced, high-traffic warehouse or distribution center environment. may be exposed to changing weather conditions at loading docks and varying temperatures inside the facility. Closed-toed boots/shoes and high-visibility vests are standard required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). | |
