Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Machine Shop Deburr Technician to support machining and production operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for performing repetitive machine operations including deburring, cutting, shaping, drilling, forming, smoothing, and inspecting machined components to ensure they meet quality and customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have manual machining experience, strong blueprint reading skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work with precision measuring equipment in a fast-paced machine shop environment. Essential Responsibilities Perform repetitive machine operations including cutting, shaping, deburring, forming, drilling, reaming, and smoothing parts Rework parts as necessary to meet specifications and quality standards Align and fasten parts using standard fixtures and established procedures Visually inspect machined components for burrs, cracks, tool marks, sharp edges, and damaged surfaces Remove irregularities from machined parts using hand tools and equipment Inspect parts using gauges, comparators, profilometers, and measuring instruments Accurately complete Statistical Process Control (SPC) documentation and requirements Read analog and digital measuring devices and inspection equipment Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing guidelines Support additional production and machine shop responsibilities as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED required 1?2 years of machine shop or related manufacturing experience preferred Manual machining experience required Strong lathe experience preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail Ability to use measuring instruments and inspection equipment Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Preferred Skills Experience with deburring and precision finishing operations Familiarity with SPC processes and quality inspection standards Experience using comparators, profilometers, and gauges Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability Benefits & Retirement Plans We offer a competitive benefits package including- Medical, dental, and vision insurance Prescription drug coverage Voluntary life, accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity insurance 401(k) with 100% company match on the first 5% Company-funded retirement contribution equal to 3% of pay Tuition reimbursement and career development programs Paid parental leave Short- and long-term disability coverage Adoption assistance Financial planning support Identity and legal protection options Pet wellness plans Paid Time Off and 13 company-paid holidays | |
