Position Overview- We are seeking a Gen AI Product Owner / Product Manager to join a growing Customer Operations AI Initiative. This role will own the product backlog from use-case intake through delivery and adoption, serving as the key connection between business stakeholders and the technical AI development team. The ideal candidate will have experience leading Agile product development, with hands-on experience in Generative AI, conversational AI, or intelligent automation. Experience working in utilities, telecommunications, financial services, or other regulated industries is a plus. Key Responsibilities Own and prioritize the Gen AI use-case backlog based on business value, feasibility, and risk. Translate business needs into problem statements, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical development teams. Lead Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives. Establish measurable success criteria such as accuracy, adoption, deflection, and reduced handle time. Track sprint progress, team velocity, and delivery milestones using Azure DevOps or similar tools. Support responsible AI governance, including risk assessments, human-in-the-loop processes, evaluation criteria, and guardrails. Lead change management, training, rollout, and user adoption initiatives. Research emerging Gen AI trends and enterprise applications to support product strategy and roadmap development. Identify and implement improvements to AI governance, intake, and delivery processes. Communicate project status, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. 2?5 years of relevant product management/product ownership experience. Proven experience managing an Agile product development team as a Product Owner or Product Manager. Experience with Generative AI, conversational AI, or intelligent automation. Strong understanding of Agile and/or SAFe methodologies. Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar Agile tracking tools. Ability to manage multiple priorities within a complex stakeholder environment. Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. Experience preparing formal presentations and documentation for executive and/or regulatory audiences. Previous experience managing employees or contractors. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the utility, telecom, financial services, or another regulated industry. Knowledge of Customer Operations, utility business processes, rules, or regulations. Experience with Responsible AI and AI governance frameworks. Vendor management experience. SAFe, Product Owner, Scrum, or related certification. Why This Opportunity?
